My experiences camping
My experiences camping
When I was 7 years old I went camping for the first time. It was spring, I was in a tent, and I was with my friends in a cub scout troop. Since then, I’ve loved camping. I go relatively often with my scout troop, and I have had many insane experiences. I have changed my style slightly since then. About 2 years ago, my friend and I tried a challenge we called the “no tent challenge.” It was camping, outside, but without a tent. We hung a rope between two trees and put a tarp over that tent style. Now, I almost never camp with a tent. I have made tons of different shelters, with different people, in different weather. I have slept in shelters with -45o C temperatures, with tornado winds blowing my shelter over 6 times throughout the night, and with foxes circling it (that was a really scary experience). During the tornado winds, I barely slept whatsoever, but the next night we fixed up out shelter, and I then slept extremely well. Now I always look forward to camping trips, and enjoy building new shelter ideas.
